Staff Report From Savannah CEO

The JCB Mud Run is back in 2014 and bigger and muddier than any before. This year’s race, that benefits The Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at JCB North American Headquarters in Pooler, GA.

The Mud Run Course Committee lead by JCB’s demonstration team has had an entire year to dream up over 20 new and even crazier obstacles to challenge our 2014 mudders. In addition to the exciting new obstacles and challenges we’ve taken all the feedback from the 2013 race and changed a few things up -

NEW THIS YEAR –

  • 2 PERSON TEAMS ONLY: We heard you – dragging 5 extra people around the course led to a bit more of a mud bog than you anticipated so this year all teams will be teams of two – that’s right, scroll through your list of friends and pick the best, most  fun person to get down and dirty at this year’s mud run, pick a team name and sign up!  And, this year we are offering special military rates.
  • THE COURSE OF COURSE:  New obstacles – the JCB demo team spent months working on new and different ways to drag you and your teammate through the mud. This year’s course promises to be even dirtier, sludgier, and muddier good time than last year.  Our over 20 obstacles will challenge you and your muddy teammate to jumps, dips, dives, crawls, and many more surprises!
  • THE AFTER PARTY: The JCB Mud Run parties the way no one else can and we want you, your teammate and all of the friends who came to watch you slip and slide through the mud, to stay and hang out with us after the muddy fun!  This year’s after party features one of the premier bands in the area Domino Effect, food, and of course all those frosty beverages for our runners and friends over the age of 21. After you shower in the special JCB showers make plans to hang out, grab a patch of grass, some food and a drink and take part in the JCB Mud Run After Party!  Your friends didn’t run but want to take part in the after party?? No worries, all spectators can participate in all the food and beverages for just a $10 donation with all proceeds going to benefit The Lady Bamford Center.

STAYING THE SAME –

  • Parking is FREE
  • Spectators are FREE – unless you want to partake of food and beverage and then it’s only a $10 donation
  • Mud Dobbers Run for 7 year olds and younger is FREE
  • Best Team Name contest
  • Best Team Costume contest – but don’t worry you don’t have to dress up if you’re not feeling that crazy

Don’t want to get muddy with 2000 other folks?? No worries, the JCB Mud Run couldn’t happen with our very generous sponsors and volunteers, so if you’re interested in either of those opportunities visit the website – www.jcbmudrun.com!

Lastly, as a friendly reminder, no dogs are allowed no matter how small and cute or large and adorable unless, of course, they are a registered guide dog and are easily identified as such.
