Participants were nominated by alumni of the leadership program and by business leaders in the coastal region. They will spend one weekend a month in surrounding counties learning about topics that affect the region such as healthcare, education, economic development and transportation.

“Last year’s group developed ideas that made tangible differences in our communities, and I’m thrilled to see what impacts this class will make,” said Beckmann. “There is a tremendous amount of innovation and creativity between our selected class members.”
