Georgia Historical Society Adds Senior Community Partnerships, Communications, & Administrative Staff

The Georgia Historical Society announced recently the addition of Anastacia Scott, Ph.D., as Director of Community Partnerships and Special Projects, Keith Strigaro as Director of Communications, and Rebecca Brattina as Senior Administrative Assistant.
Dr. Scott joins the Georgia Historical Society after more than seven years of academic and professional experience in higher education, museums, and cultural institutions in the cities of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and New Orleans, Louisiana. She holds a Ph.D. in Africology with graduate certificates in museum studies and nonprofit management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Dillard University. Prior to joining GHS, she was the Director of Educational Programming at the Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses. In 2021, the Southeastern Museums Conference featured her as “One to Watch!” highlighting her passion for illuminating diverse narratives and skill for community building and scholarly narratives to engage funders and secure needed support.
Keith Strigaro joins GHS with 18 years of experience in marketing and communications. He recently led strategic communications for the Provost’s Office and the Office of Research at Georgia Southern University. Before that, he was a Senior Writer at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and a Director of Communications at George Mason University in Virginia. Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in history and English from the University of Virginia.
Rebecca Brattina will serve as Senior Administrative Assistant and brings 18 years of experience having held executive assistant positions at Dimension Data, Hewlett-Packard, BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College and has studied art history and museum studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
