Tournament officials announced today during a special event at The Landings Club’s Deer Creek Course, that the fifth annual Club Car Championship at The Landings Club, contested the week of March 28 – April 3, raised more than $340,000 for charitable organizations in greater Savannah and beyond. The 2022 amount equals the largest single-season charitable donation in the history of the official Korn Ferry Tour event and brings the tournament’s five-year total to nearly $800,000.

Additionally, the Club Car Championship unveiled the results of its 2022 Sweepstakes Fore Charity program. The grassroots initiative not only raised critical dollars for charity, but also provided one lucky fan with the keys to a new custom Onward, courtesy of Club Car.

“We are thrilled to announce the winner of our second annual Sweepstakes Fore Charity,” said Mark Wagner, President of Club Car. “Congratulations to Tony Burnett of Savannah, our newest Club Car Onward owner. Sweepstakes Fore Charity raised $34,550* for the tournament’s charity partners this year and has garnered more than $60,000 since its inception in 2021.”

Benefiting charities of the 2022 Club Car Championship at The Landings Club include: CASA Savannah, EmployAbility, First Tee Savannah, Folds of Honor, Georgia PGA Foundation, Girls on the Run Coastal Georgia Lowcountry, Kids Cafe at Second Harvest, Landings Landlovers, Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Services, The Landings Military Family Relief Fund, United Way CSRA, and USO Savannah.

“The tradition of giving this tournament has established in the greater Savannah community is inspiring,” said Cheyenne Overby, Club Car Championship at The Landings Club tournament director. “On behalf of HNS Sports Group and our tournament staff, I would like to thank Club Car, The Landings Club, Enmarket for their support of Sweepstakes Fore Charity, and all our sponsors, as well as our dedicated volunteers, for helping make the gift of these funds a reality. The competition on the course and the energy of tournament week this year was incredible, but it’s the sincere and sustaining impact created by the dollars raised for charity that’s most important¾and the tournament is committed to growing that charitable spirit for years to come.”
