The Savannah Jaycees will host journalist, speaker and author, Joel Zuckerman, as their next Leadership NOW presenter.  Zuckerman, the author of 7 books, is “one of the Southeast’s most sought after and respected golf writers,” says Golfer’s Guide Magazine. 

On Tuesday, June 3^rd, Zuckerman will speak at the only lecture series focused on leadership for young adults.   He will talk about how the game of golf relates to leadership skills, improving customer relations, the benefits of teamwork and overcoming adversity.   “Half the time, success occurs because you’re on the right street corner at the right moment,” says Zuckerman.

Zuckerman, based in Savannah, GA, went from a vending machine repairman to writer, speaker and award-winning author.  In the past 15 years, he has played more than 850 courses in 40 states and more than a dozen countries.  Zuckerman’s latest book was released in April. 

The Leadership NOW series aligns with the Savannah Jaycees mission statement: to inspire leadership growth through community involvement. 

“We began this lecture series to provide an opportunity for young professionals to learn skills that they can apply to their work life, family life, volunteer life, etc. Our community is filled with leaders that are more than willing to give us advice and the key to their success,” says Savannah Jaycees president, Sarah Westberry. 

The Savannah Jaycees invites the media and those 21-40 to attend the meeting on Tuesday, June 3rd.  Open networking begins at 5:30 and they program will run from 6-7 p.m.  Guests will have the opportunity to ask Zuckerman questions about his successes as well as have books signed by the well-known author.  You’ll also learn more about how you can become a member of this rapidly growing organization.

The June 3^rd Leadership NOW Program Meeting will be held at “The Hut”, a building donated to the Savannah Jaycees by Derst Baking Company.  We’re located just south of DeRenne Ave. & Habersham St. at 101 Atlas Street, Savannah 31405.  The building is yellow and located on the left at the end of Atlas Street, between Rambam Day School and Buckingham South.

Admission is free for members and $10 for guests. Food will be catered by Ruth’s Chris Steak House and wine, beer and soft drinks will be provided.
