Rives E. Worrell Co., a JE Dunn Construction Company, recently hired David Newland to be a senior estimator for the company. His duties will include facilitating the overall bid and pricing process, including all facets of work in association with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors leading up to construction. 

Before joining the Rives E. Worrell Co., Newland served as the director of estimating for J.T. Turner Construction. He has also worked as a project manager and estimator for Choate Construction Company. 

Newland earned his Bachelor of Science degree in construction management and a minor in business from Georgia Southern University. He also has a Master of Science degree in construction management from the University of Florida and is an accredited professional in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Building Design + Construction. 

A native of Statesboro, Ga., Newland currently resides on Whitemarsh Island. He is a member of Historic Savannah Foundation’s 13th Colony, the Savannah Eagle Club and the Coastal Conservation Association.
