Sustainativity, a nonprofit organization with a mission of improving the vibrancy of Savannah’s communities through direct philanthropic investments, recently donated $11, 624 for sustainable improvements to the historic Sheftall House at 321 East York Street. The house serves as Historic Savannah Foundation’s administrative building.

“We are happy to give to the Historic Savannah Foundation because our missions complement each other,” said Tommy Linstroth, founder of Sustainativity. “With this donation, we hope to make significant improvements to the historic Sheftall House and inspire the engagement of others.”

Sustainativity creates a positive impact on the region’s built environment and surrounding community by accelerating the adoption of green building technologies, sustainability practices and progressive quality of life advancements. Sustainativity works to inspire philanthropy and promote community engagement among individuals and businesses in the Savannah areas through collective grant-making, educational outreach and cooperative services opportunities that enhance the sustainability of the community.

“We are immensely grateful to have the support of important community partnerships like Sustainativity,” said Daniel Carey, president and CEO of Historic SavannahFoundation. “Without the crucial and supplementary funding efforts from our community partners, renovations would not be possible.”
