Thursday, July 30th, 2015

Telfair Museums will host a Free Family Day inspired by the popular Come As You Are: Art of the 1990s exhibition on August 8 from 1-4 pm at the Jepson Center for the Arts.

Go back in time with Telfair Museums for this month’s 90s-themed Free Family Day celebrating the exhibition Come As You Are: Art of the 1990s. Come As You Are is a groundbreaking show that marks one of the first celebrations of art made in the United States during the 1990s. The dynamic exhibition explores the history of the 90s through the perspectives of 45 different artists born or working in the United States between the years of 1989 and 2001.

Free Family Day guests can create their own temporary tattoos, participate in a gallery photo challenge, and listen to an acoustic music performance. Additionally families can enjoy a special movie screening about four pizza loving ninja turtles.

All Free Family Days are free and open to the public thanks to the sponsorship of the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Georgia Power Foundation, Inc.
