Savannah Law Firm, The Bowen Law Group Adds Legal Assistant

The Bowen Law Group is pleased to announce the addition of Cheryl Lawrence to their Savannah legal team. As a legal assistant, Lawrence provides support on a variety of case files, including legal research, drafting, and trial preparation.

Lawrence is currently a third year law student at Savannah Law School where she is also Associate Editor of the school’s Law Review and a member of the Mock Trial Competition Team. Prior to joining The Bowen Law Group, she completed an internship for the in-house legal department of Navios, a Greek shipping company. She also has three years of paralegal experience at Spiva Law Group and successfully completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Morse, Chatham County Superior Court.

A Savannah resident since 2011, Lawrence is involved in a variety of civic and professional organizations. She is the 2016 President-Elect for the Savannah Jaycees, a member of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and a member of the American Association of Justice. Lawrence studied exercise science at Marquette University and received a BA in law from Penn State.

“I like being able to work on entertainment, corporate and business legal issues. My previous experience was focused mostly on personal injury and litigation,” said Lawrence. “I am excited to be working at a forward-thinking firm committed to personalized service to each client.”

Lawrence is originally from Phelps, WI; although, she has lived throughout the United States including Tacoma, WA, Columbia, SC and Killeen, TX. Her husband, Fredric Lawrence is retired from the Army, after serving 20 years. They have a daughter, Kayden Lawrence, who is nine years old.
