Historic Savannah Foundation, a leading preservation organization committed to preserving and protecting Savannah’s heritage through advocacy, education and community involvement, held a press conference earlier to unveil this year’s major presenting sponsors and special event details for its 25th Annual HSF Gala, which promises to be one of Savannah’s most exciting and elegant fundraising events of the year.

The HSF Gala will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 7 p.m. in Columbia Square in historic downtown Savannah. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening featuring dinner and live music with many of Savannah’s most prominent community influencers, business leaders and dignitaries.

Cari Clark Phelps, who will serve as the chair of 2016 HSF Gala, announced today that Savannah Alfa Romeo & Fiat will be this year’s title sponsor of the 2016 HSF Gala, pledging $25,000 to HSF. The Fiduciary Group will again serve as principal sponsor with a $15,000 contribution to the organization.  

In addition, there are three Oglethorpe sponsors pledging $7,500 in support: Chatham Orthopaedic Associates, Lifecycle Construction Services and Ashley’s Business Solutions

Born out of crisis — the impending demolition of the c.1820 Isaiah Davenport House — HSF grew from a makeshift band of activists into a full-service preservation organization with educational programs, events and a Revolving Fund. Along the way, Savannah has achieved an international reputation for historic preservation and, today, boasts a billion dollar tourist industry built around an appreciation this community’s heritage.

Each year, the HSF Gala is one of the organization’s largest fundraising events with all proceeds benefitting ongoing preservation initiatives through advocacy, education, and community involvement efforts including the Revolving Fund, which has saved more than 360 historic structures from demolition.

The HSF Gala tickets are $225 for HSF members and $275 for non-members, which includes an annual HSF membership.
