The 21-Day HOPE Walk from Savannah to Sarasota Kicks Off August 14th - Sept. 4th, 2016

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Tuesday, July 26th, 2016

The International School of Story will kick off its 21-day HOPE Walk from Savannah, Ga., to Sarasota, Fla, with a HOPE Rally at the First African Baptist Church located at 23 Montgomery St. in Savannah on Sunday, August 14, at 3:30 p.m.

The 21-day journey will begin at sunrise on Isle of Hope on Monday, August 15th and is being led by Emra Smith, founder, and CEO of the International School of Story. Smith, along with HOPE Walk media and time management consultant, Kathy Burnsed, will walk from Savannah to Sarasota, covering approximately six to ten miles per day, until they reach their final destination in Florida.

The team will be sharing “HOPE” by offering free life coaching phone calls along the route, visiting homeless shelters, community centers, hospitals and speaking to many diverse groups of women (and some amazing men) throughout the 21-day journey. Their goal is to show how HOPE can be spread and encourage positive actions to help facilitate personal and community change.

More: We would be delighted to add your stop to our journey. This is a great way to stoplight your business or non-profit and encourage HOPE in your community. A detailed stop schedule will be posted so you can follow along.
