HCEA Volunteers Donate Time and Money to Greenbriar Childrens's Center
Staff Report From Savannah CEO
Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016
The Healthcare Convention and exhibitors is in Savannah for their annual conference August 14-17. On Sunday, August 14, before the conference began at least 40 members descended upon Greenbriar Children’s Center Independent Living program house to “paint it up”. Greenbriar was chosen as the Association’s corporate social responsibility activity for 2016. Despite the sweltering high 90 degree temperature, they were determined to brighten the space of some well deserved young people. As a result of their commitment, the young adults in the Independent Living program returned to a brighter space that had been painted with the colors of their choosing. “Just as the rooms gleamed of freshness, so did the faces of the youth glow as they entered their apartments”, said, Gena Taylor, Executive Director of Greenbriar. We are grateful for associations like HCEA who deliver on their promise to social responsibility.
