The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Georgia Council for the Arts to support the musical non-profit organization’s educational programs and performances.

This grant will help promote the Savannah Philharmonic’s mission to provide exceptional educational programs within the greater Savannah community. The Savannah Philharmonic encourages enrichment through the arts with choral and orchestral performances in conjunction with various educational programs.

Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra’s Director of Development Terri O’Neil was pleased to learn of the award and is eager to put the funds to good use.

“We are very grateful that the state of Georgia recognizes and supports the arts to benefit its citizens. This grant will help us to continue to bring arts and arts education to the wider community in our region,” O’Neil said.
