Critz Tybee Run Fest 2017 and Tybee Island: Ready for Runners after Hurricane Matthew

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, December 2nd, 2016

The Critz Tybee Run Fest and Tybee Island assure 2017 participants that the island and the race weekend will be ready for runners, fans and spectators come February. The clean-up and restoration efforts after Hurricane Matthew, that recently swept the island in early October, are in full swing and Tybee businesses and officials are promising that “Tybee is back in business”.

Critz Tybee Run Fest and Visit Tybee http://visittybee.com/ will join forces again at the Savannah Rock N’ Roll Marathon Expo to promote the island and its beauty, as well as the 2017 Critz Tybee Run Fest. During the 2-day expo, the Critz Tybee Run Fest will offer a special registration discount.

“We hope to attract an increased number of runners and participants for 2017, to help support local businesses after the strom, and to guarantee our annual grants to local Tybee and Savannah non-profits” said Dale Critz Jr, founder and chair of the Critz Tybee Run Fest.
