Dawn Morgan, President and Owner of Collins Construction, has been appointed to serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority in 2017.

“I am honored by this appointment and believe strongly in SDRA’s mission to nurture both the economic and physical environment of our special city,” said Dawn Morgan. “As a native of Savannah who is also in the construction business, my passion is to plan, develop, and renew beautiful spaces and encourage local business development. I look forward to working with the board, the private sector, and local government to continue to move economic development forward in our community.”

According to the SDRA website, the geographic focus of the organization is greater downtown Savannah, which comprises the area bounded by the state border to the north, Victory Drive to the south, the Truman Parkway to the east, and Stiles and Lathrop Avenues to the west. Current initiatives primarily address the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Montgomery Street corridor on the west side of downtown.
