The Savannah Music Festival and Southbound Brewing Company are partnering for the third straight year to release Rollin’ & Tumblin’, a springtime IPA developed over a shared love of live music. The February 4 event includes a concert by Grammy-nominated Chicago blues guitarist Lurrie Bell, and beer samplings including Rollin’ & Stumblin’, a limited release double IPA and the big brother to the popular festival IPA. Samples of Rollin’ & Tumblin’ IPA will also be available, and will be released in cans and on draft throughout Georgia in early February in anticipation of the 2017 festival. Tickets to this event now on sale at savannahmusicfestival.org, 912.525.5050 and the Savannah Box Office. Admission is $30 in advance and $35 day of show and includes the concert, a souvenir pint glass and Southbound Brewing Company beer samplings. The first 50 attendees through the door will go home with a 22 oz. bottle of the limited release of Rollin’ & Stumblin’ DIPA. Doors open at 7:30pm and the music begins at 8pm. Food will also be available for purchase on site, provided by Bowtie Barbecue Co. Parking is available in the Great Dane parking lot on the northeast corner of East Lathrop and West Bay St., across the street from the brewery (107 E. Lathrop). This event is 21+, and is standing room only.

Blues guitarist Lurrie Bell first performed at SMF in 2005 with his father, famed harmonica player Carey Bell. He grew up steeped in the Chicago blues, around musicians including Muddy Waters, Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Dawkins, Eddie Clearwater and Sunnyland Slim. Lurrie Bell’s intense guitar playing and passionate vocals have since made him a favorite at clubs and festivals around the world, earning him a reputation as one of the leading lights in the future of the blues. His album “Can’t Shake This Feeling” is up for a 2017 Grammy award. This special performance previews Bell’s 2017 festival appearance in “Chicago Blues Meets Gulf Coast Boogie” (April 1 at Ships of the Sea), where he shares a bill with Marcia Ball and James Cotton.
