Armstrong State University Wins CASE Grand Award for Best TV Commercial

The Marketing and Communications Department at Armstrong State University recently won the Grand Award in the TV Commercial/Public Service Announcement division at the 2017 Council for Advancement and Support of Education Southeast District III Conference, held in Nashville, Tenn. The CASE District III Awards Program recognizes the very best in marketing and advancement across the Southeast.
 
Armstrong’s Marketing Department earned top honors for a television commercial specifically designed to air in the Atlanta metro area. Created entirely in-house, the commercial was directed and produced by Armstrong’s Manager of Media Production Bruce Habersham and incorporates concepts developed by Armstrong’s Creative Team, which is comprised of professionals from various departments across the university as well as students and alumni.
 
“We strategically designed this television commercial to emphasize the allure of coastal Georgia and to underscore Armstrong’s focus on supporting student success,” said Armstrong’s Director of Marketing and Communications Allison Hersh. “We are deeply honored to be recognized with the top award in the television commercial and public service announcement category this year.”
 
Previously, Armstrong’s Marketing Department won CASE District III Grand Awards for Best Fundraising Publication, in recognition of the university’s Legacy of Light Soccer Campaign, and Best Branding/Identity Campaign, in honor of the university’s Start Strong campaign. Over the years, the university has also earned a Special Merit Award for Best Marketing/Branding Video as well as an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Ad Campaign.  
 
Armstrong’s marketing department includes Katherine Arntzen, Bruce Habersham, Heather Harvey, Allison Hersh, Wes Johnson, Brandon Royal, Melanie Simón, Janice Stanford and Jackie Zantow.
 
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.
