Savannah based Empire Construction continues to broaden its client base and expand its capabilities as demand for the company’s services increases. After completing several successful, projects, Empire responded to its growing popularity by focusing on identification friendly branding, introducing a new logo, and unveiling a fresh website. As more clients entrusted Empire Construction with their home renovation projects, the company hired a new project manager to ensure quality remains top priority.

In February of 2017, Empire Construction hired Matt Evans as project manager. Evans, originally from Conroe, Texas, found his interest in the construction trade in high school while helping remodel his family home. While completing this project, he learned about drywall, plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry and welding. At 20 years old, Evans joined the Army, focusing on structural airframe repair. In his nine and half years of service, he completed training in level one combatives, Enlisted Green Platoon, Airborne School, SERE (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape), and seven deployments, including several to Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a sergeant and held titles of team leader, TMDE NCOIC (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Non-commissioned Officer in Charge), building manager and technical inspector. Upon retiring, Evans reached out to Empire Construction and is now enjoying a civilian career as the company’s project manager.
