Thursday, May 4th, 2017
PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of National Bank of Commerce, has named Melissa Guzman a Vice President and Mortgage Banker. She is based in PrivatePlus’ new Savannah office.
“Melissa treats her buyers like family, and easily adapts to various client and Realtor work styles,” says Dean Phillips, Vice President and South Georgia Production Manager of PrivatePlus, “which is especially important when working with first-time homebuyers, but is a plus for all clients. Her professionalism and high level of customer service ensures our clients and business partners are taken care of throughout the process.”
After 14 years in banking, Guzman shifted to the mortgage industry because of her passion for lending and helping people. She prides herself on keeping all parties to a transaction informed. “I enjoy finding solutions to help people achieve their goal of homeownership,” she says. “I also appreciate the opportunity to partner with local Realtors and pride myself on open communication and timely responsiveness.”
Originally from Cape Girardeau, MO, Guzman grew up in Savannah, GA. She has two daughters who are both active in competitive cheer; she enjoys supporting her girls in their sports and traveling to watch them compete. Guzman also enjoys crafting, especially creating new things for her children and their friends and making gifts for family, teachers, and friends. She and her husband, who works for Gulfstream Aerospace, currently live in Rincon, GA, with their daughters and rescue dog Chachi.
Earlier this month PrivatePlus launched an expansion into the Savannah market, serving that city and surrounding areas. The company promises great pricing, processes, people and products, including purchase, refinance, investment, jumbo products, second home, construction, fixed second, home equity, lot loan and more. Based in Buckhead, Atlanta’s financial district, PrivatePlus originates mortgages in 50 states and the District of Columbia. In the Atlanta market, it is affiliated with Private Bank of Buckhead and Private Bank of Decatur, which also are divisions of National Bank of Commerce.
