Educate Chatham Foundation Awards Grants to Savannah’s “Most Inspirational” Teachers

The Educate Chatham Foundation, a nonprofit organization to benefit the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, recently awarded grants to Chatham County high school teachers to further their work in the classroom. The educators, selected by the senior class at each of the public high schools as the “most inspirational,” were awarded $500 each and were recognized during their school’s respective graduation ceremony held last week.
 
“On behalf of the Educate Chatham Foundation, we are pleased to be able to award these much-loved and respected teachers with some well-deserved grant money,” said Mark A. Bennett, chair, Educate Chatham Foundation. “It is our goal to ignite a passion for learning and teaching and reward those who do so by providing necessary resources.”
