Roger Holden Joins Bernard Williams & Company as Vice President

Bernard Williams & Company recently announced that Roger Holden has joined the company as Vice President. Holden is a Chartered Life Underwriter and has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

“Roger has earned a respected reputation for his insurance expertise, particularly in the Life, Health and Benefits areas,” Alan Williams, Senior Vice President, said in making the announcement. “We are extremely pleased that he has joined Bernard Williams & Company and he will be a tremendous asset as we continue to provide our clients with the utmost in financially sound and reputable service,” Williams added.

Holden helped create and advise the first PPO in the Southeastern U.S. and was a co-founder and board member of the Georgia Society of Professional Benefits Administrators. He began his career as a Producer with Jones, Hill and Mercer in Savannah, rising through the ranks to become a one third partner and owner of the agency, which at the time was one of the top 25 private insurance agencies in the nation prior to being sold to Hilb Rogal and Hamilton.

While serving at JHM Employee Benefits, Holden helped create the Compass Health Management division, the first such company in the U.S. to do pre-admission certification, concurrent management and discharge planning. Following the agency’s merger with HRH, he became CEO of the firm’s Employee Benefits Company. His other industry experience includes Holden & Company Inc., Wells Fargo Insurance Services, USI Insurance Services, and Cowart Insurance Group.

Holden has a B.B.A. degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia, graduated from the Pension School at the Home Office of Lincoln National and obtained his CLU from The American College. He has been a member of the Georgia Health Underwriters Association and the National Association of Health Underwriters.
