Bark in the Park with the Savannah Bananas to Help Local Rescues

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Friday, July 14th, 2017

TailsSpin Pet Stuff will join forces with the Savannah Bananas to hold the last Bark in the Park for 2017 season, when pets can take” their owners” to attend the fun filled evening on Monday, July 24th, at the historical Grayson Stadium.  In addition to baseball, the evening will also spotlight pet adoption efforts, creating an opportunity for pets to find forever homes through local rescue agencies.

Scheduled to attend with their adoptable pets are organizations, such as the Coastal Pet rescue, One Love Animal Rescue, Georgia Rescue Rehabilitation and Relocation, Save-A-Life, and Grateful Golden Retriever Rescue of the Low Country.

US Air Force Master Sergeant Chief Jim Fox and his Border Pawtrol Disc Dog Team will entertain the spectators before the start of the game.  Canines Fynn and Rocky will take flight to skillfully catch the discs thrown, always to the delight of the audience.  Trivia and games will be played, with prizes for winners.

Baseball is to be enjoyed by the whole family.  Pets are members of the family, so the Savannah Bananas and TailsSpin feel that it's only fitting for dogs to attend this fun-filled evening.  For both dogs' and peoples' comfort in the summer weather, the large covered stadium area is cooled by big fans, and game time is at 7:00pm, as the Savannah Bananas take on the Lexington County Blow Fish.  Gates open at 5:30 for early birds.

The Savannah Bananas organization knows how to entertain the fans, and TailsSpin is so very humbled and honored to be a part of this year’s Bark in the Park,” says Jeff Manley, co-owner of  TailsSpin Pet Stuff, a Bentley's Pet Stuff company.  “We also are thrilled to help Savannah pet rescue groups find homes for dogs and cats.”

There are limited tickets for the Bark in the Park Savannah Bananas game available at all three TailsSpin Pet Stuff locations, in Habersham Village, Pooler Marketplace, and Whitemarsh Island Shopping Center.
