Coastal Empire Beer Co. of Savannah won 2 silver medals in blind tastings earlier this month at the 2017 United States Open Beer Championship in Oxford, Ohio. More than 6,000 beers and ciders from breweries around the world competed to win in over 100 style categories.

Local brewery, Coastal Empire Beer Co. won a silver medal for their ‘Barrel Aged Savannah Brown Ale’ brand in the Wood/ Barrel aged dark beer category.  This is the fourth time in 5 years that BA Savannah Brown Ale has medaled in the US Open Beer Championship competition.  Blood Orange Citrus Breeze was awarded a silver medal in the Out of Bounds Pale Ale category.  Since Coastal Empire Beer Co. released their first beer in August of 2011 it has received 11 medals in international competitions.
