Coastal Center for Developmental Services, a non-profit leader in services to adults with developmental disabilities in Savannah, GA, has announced that Laura Lane McKinnon has been chosen as the new Director of Organizational Advancement.

McKinnon brings years of local fundraising and development experience to CCDS. Her most recent position was Director of Development for Union Mission in Savannah where she oversaw the development and management of the yearly giving campaign, special events, grant writing, the website, and social media.   Additionally, she represented the agency at various development-oriented, community relations and marketing events throughout the community.

McKinnon is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Art History.  She later worked there as the Assistant Director of Events before moving into the role of its Director of Corporate Relations, working across all disciplines and degree programs.
 
“Laura Lane joins the CCDS leadership team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in advancing and transforming organizations, primarily focused on fundraising endeavors.  She has served in several senior positions with other very noteworthy organizations and demonstrated superb success,” stated CCDS Executive Director Dr. Ken Boyd.   “With Laura Lane’s leadership, I see new initiatives in marketing, public relations and fundraising that will lead to a stronger CCDS, training and placing individuals with developmental disabilities in community-wide jobs.”
