$180,000 Raised for Willett Children's Hospital at Memorial

The Lowcountry Annie Oakleys announced that $180,000 was raised for the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital at their Third Annual Charity Clays Tournament & After Party held on Friday, September 29. The group provided over 50 volunteers to host 40 shooting teams for the 100-round tournament, some from as far away as Texas. A record number of people attended the After Party, including 100 non-shooters, where guests enjoyed fabulous food from Cotton & Rye, a curated selection of wine & beer sponsored by Palmetto Bluff, a bourbon tasting presented by Jack Daniels and Woodford Reserve, live music by Chuck Courtenay, a raffle and auction. All proceeds will fund a new pediatric pharmacy within the hospital.

The top scoring team was Myrick Marine with 349 points. The top Lewis Class team was Dr. Palmer Johnston with 243 points. The highest scoring male shooter was Jon Kent with 98 points.  The highest scoring female shooter was Jessica Kent with 85 points.

The presenting sponsor was Springer Mountain Farms; platinum sponsors included Critz, The Kicklighter Company, Myrick Marine, and Susan and Charley Tarver. The Savannah Morning News was the media sponsor.
