Savannah based attorneys Michael Smith and Richard Barid of Smith Barid, LLC recently released a book titled “Tax-Free Money for Long-Term Care.” Co-authored by Don Quante, the book is a consumer guide meant to serve as a resource for those who are caring for their aging loved ones or to assist those who are planning ahead for their own long-term care.

The book addresses many issues such as using your IRA for long-term care, Veteran’s Benefits, how to legally protect your assets, Medicaid eligibility, and how to create tax-free money for long-term care. Financial strategies to support long term care incentives are cited throughout the books in addition to information about little known tax incentives.

“As elder care attorneys, we have seen firsthand how beneficial a guide such as this can be for families who are navigating multiple healthcare options for their loved one,” said Smith.

Barid adds, “We hope that this guide will provide readers with comprehensive information about the importance of planning ahead but also how to save time, energy, and money; all in the best interest of their family.”

The book is available at Smith Barid, LLC, while copies remain. People can call the office at 912.352.3999 to secure their copy. For more information about Smith Barid, LLC, go to www.smithbarid.com.
