In order to install new storm drain pipe at the East Lathrop Avenue and West Bay Street intersection in Savannah, R.B. Baker will need to close a section of East Lathrop Avenue between West Bay Street and North Lathrop Avenue beginning 9 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, and continuing through 4 p.m., Friday, December 15.  Access to businesses will be maintained, but all other traffic will be rerouted via West Bay Street, Carolan Street and North Lathrop Avenue.
 
New storm drainage pipes will be installed under East Lathrop as needed for the West Bay Street widening project. The roadway will reopen early if the work is completed ahead of schedule or could possibly be closed longer if weather delays the work.
