The JCB Teleskid skid steer loader and compact track loader has won the gold award in the Rental Equipment Register 2017 Innovative Product Awards. Judged by a panel of rental company owners and operators, the award recognizes the Teleskid as the year’s most innovative construction machine for the rental industry.

“JCB Teleskid drew the attention of the judges because it combined the capabilities of a skid steer or compact track loader with a telescopic boom,” said Michael Roth, editor of Rental Equipment Register. “The fact that the machine, launched in March of this year and presented at ConExpo, is manufactured by a company with a long reputation of engineering achievement sealed the deal.”

The JCB Teleskid is the world’s only skid steer and compact track loader with a telescopic boom, allowing operators to lift over 13 feet, reach 8 feet forward, and dig 3 feet below grade. Based on JCB’s proven large-platform skid steer design, it is also the only skid steer to combine the advantages of radial lift—for efficient excavating and grading—and vertical lift—for optimal lift capacity and height—in a single machine. The Teleskid is available in the 3TS-8W wheeled and 3TS-8T tracked models, with rated operating capacities of 3,208 pounds and 3,695 pounds, respectively.

“JCB has decades of experience in providing rental professionals with the rugged and capable, rental-ready machines that are required for profitable rental operations,” said Ben Coleman, general manager of Direct Sales and Product at JCB North America. “The Teleskid is driving demand by rental customers because it can do the work of four machines—a telehandler, a forklift, a compact loader, and a skid steer—and that demand makes for good rental business.”
