Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter Announces Celebration of Love Gala, February 8th

The Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter will hold its 2018 Celebration of Love Gala to commemorate its 33rd anniversary 0n Friday, Feb. 8, at the Landings Plantation Club on Skidaway Island.

The evening will start with dinner and a silent auction at 6 p.m. with Kristin King on harp and Sinisa Ciric on violin, followed by a recognition/award ceremony when the Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Shelter Volunteer of the Year will be announced.

“We look forward to celebrating another excellent year,” said 2018 gala chairwoman Betsy Bratz, who’s vice president of the Park Place Outreach board of directors.

Dinner is $125; a table for 10 is $1,200. Event partners and sponsors, as well as individuals and groups, are invited to participate in the silent and live auctions.

“We hope to have sports memorabilia, trips and donations similar to what we’ve had in the past,” Bratz said.

Park Place operates with funding from grants, community partners and sponsors who host fund-raising events. Past galas have raised as much as $48,500.
