Historic Savannah Foundation's 13th Colony Hosts Networking, Historic Building Tour Event Jan. 23rd

Historic Savannah Foundation’s 13th Colony is pleased to invite young professionals to its upcoming “Preservation in Progress” event, which will include a tour of LaScala Ristorante. The membership event begins at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at LaScala, 119 E. 37th St. in the Thomas Square Streetcar Historic District.
Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle and tour the eagerly anticipated gourmet eatery, located in a c.1900 building currently under restoration. The evening is sponsored by Cabretta Capital Corporation. Attendees will enjoy wine, beer, and light hors d’oeuvres.
LaScala Ristorante will feature the finest Italian cuisine and hand-selected wines amid an historic setting featuring original murals and ornate stained glass.
A special opportunity to join one of two 13th Colony memberships at a discounted rate will be offered at this event for first time members. Individual 13th Colony memberships, regularly $85, will be available for $42.50 and household memberships, regularly $125, will be available for $62.50.

Cabretta Capital Corporation is a finance firm based in Savannah with expertise in structured tax credit equity. Various government programs produce tax credits that can be monetized through public and private partnership and Cabretta monetizes these credits to create equity for qualifying ventures. Cabretta was formed in January of 2015 and has syndicated over $100 Million Tax Credits since its inception.
Historic Savannah Foundation is cultivating the next generation of preservation-minded community leaders though its 13th Colony supporters. The mission of the 13th Colony is to promote greater understanding and awareness of historic preservation and the goals of Historic Savannah Foundation to a younger audience, while also engaging their participation in Historic Savannah Foundation programs and building future Historic Savannah Foundation leadership. With a strategic plan focused on protecting Savannah’s heritage, they are rising to the challenge of increasing involvement of Savannah’s young professionals within Historic Savannah Foundation and their community.
