Smith Brothers has been serving the historic, downtown Savannah area + The Landings residents since 1924, when Brothers Harry + Leon Smith first brought fresh, beef from their family farm in rural Claxton, Ga. to a humble counter stall in Savannah’s original, famed City Market to Butcher for their first customers to Shop Local or Buy Local.

After a few other locations, including the Smith Brothers Village Market at The Landings community, Robert Anderson, along with his wife, Brenda, decided in late 2014 that it was time for Smith Brothers to return to its roots: the Historic District in Savannah.

From their original Market location to multiple Shop locations around town, including the former Habersham Street and Smith Brothers Market at The Village at Skidaway Island, their steeped tradition continues to offer fresh, hand-cut, quality meats, with new owners, husband + wife couple Robert Anderson + Brenda, his bride, decided in late 2014 that it was time for Smith Brothers to return Smith Brothers back to its rich physical roots, and return to their theory, as well.
