Cohen’s Retreat Announces Meet-the-Maker Signature Series, Welcomes Roberto & Romano Iguarnieri to Savannah from Florence, Italy

Cohen’s Retreat, a historic destination for art, food and community located in Savannah’s famed Moon River District, is pleased to announce the first 2018 installment of its Meet-the-Maker Signature Series. On February 27 through March 10, 2018, Cohen’s Retreat will welcome Roberto and Rodolfo Iguarnieri of Florence, Italy, the brothers behind the famed Iguarnieri Art Studio Gallery.

Located in front of the Arno river, and about a 10-minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio, the Iguarnieri brothers’ private art gallery showcases a wide range of contemporary fresco paintings to reach all kind of art lovers, customers and collectors. Many of the Iguarnieri brothers’ paintings are in private and public collections across Europe, USA, Australia, and Asia. In 2005, they started making “on site” fresco paintings in Florence, Luxemburg, Moscow, and others for individual customers as well as public and private companies -- with Savannah next on the list!

On February 27-March 10, Roberto and Rodolfo will be working onsite at Cohen's Retreat. The public is invited to come and enjoy this incredibly unique experience and watch as the artists handle specific materials and apply antique techniques to make contemporary artwork with their signature Italian fresco painting style.

At the culmination of their time here in Savannah, the Iguarnieri brothers’ works of art will be presented in Cohen’s Art Tank and will feature subjects as landscapes, monuments, ocean and sails, flowers and nudes.
