Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Thursday, February 15th, 2018

Rachel Umbreit has joined Celia Dunn Sotheby's International Realty as a sales associate.

She has been a licensed real estate agent in the beautiful coastal city of Savannah since 2013. With a strong background in both design and customer service, she is excited for the opportunity to utilize her skills for helping others while working with one of the leading real estate firms serving the Savannah area.

“I understand that buying or selling a home is one of the most significant decisions a person will make in his or her lifetime,” Umbreit said. “Nothing is too trivial to discuss nor is any question too silly to ask when comes to such an important experience. I care about my clients and want them to not only be comfortable, but to enjoy the process as well.”

Originally from the Midwest, Umbreit fell in love with Georgia when passing through on one of her many trips with her husband. They happily became a statistic by deciding they were tired of the cold northern winters and journeyed south to lay down roots among the oak trees and history of Savannah. She segued from her original studies of fashion design, in which she holds a B.F.A., into the fascinating world of architecture and real estate thanks in part to the unique Historic District of downtown Savannah.

Combining passion, organization, and an eye for design, she enjoys helping clients realize their real estate goals. Whether it’s selling the current house to upgrade to a dream home or guiding a first-time home buyer through the process, clients can count on her to take a personal interest and be there for every step of the journey. She feels fortunate to have found a place with a top local company where she is encouraged to focus on the most important aspect of her career in real estate — her relationship with her customers and the community.

Umbreit is affiliated with the Savannah Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She and her husband enjoy their home near Daffin Park with their dog and two cats. They enjoy world travel and lived for a time in New Zealand. She has enjoyed volunteering around the community for various organizations such as Memorial University Medical Center, the Savannah Book Festival and the Savannah Food & Wine Festival.
