SSU Panel in 50th Anniversary of MLK Assassination April 4th

Savannah State University’s will host a panel commemorating the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The panel will be held Wednesday, April 4, 11 a.m., Torian Auditorium, Howard Jordan building. Otis S. Johnson, Ph.D., SSU Scholar-in-Residence and the Asa H. Gordon Library are sponsoring the forum.

Johnson will lead a panel of students and faculty in a discussion about the importance of King as a world figure and the movement he was organizing when he was assassinated in Memphis, Tenn., on April 4, 1968. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer period following the panel presentation.

The event is free and open to the public.
