Abbie DeLoach Foundation Second Annual Scholarship Luncheon

The Abbie DeLoach Foundation held its Second Annual Scholarship Luncheon on April 26, 2018 to announce the Scholarship Class of 2018.

The Foundation is proud to benefit Savannah State University, Georgia Southern University, Compassion Church, Connection Church and Abbie’s Alma Mater, Savannah Christian High School. Criteria exemplifying Abbie’s compassion, commitment to the community, and competitive spirit are utilized each year when selecting recipients.

The 2018 scholarship class includes the following recipients:

  3. Abbie Lorene DeLoach Memorial Female Athlete. Georgia Southern University, Shelby Barfield

  4. Abbie Lorene DeLoach Memorial Female Athlete. Savannah Christian Preparatory School, Samantha Zittrauer

  5. Abbie Lorene DeLoach Memorial Nursing/Kappa Delta Scholarship. Georgia Southern University Nursing Program, Jayda Anderson

The timing of the Scholarship Class announcement coincides with the week of the 3rd anniversary of the fatal accident of five Georgia Southern University Nursing Students. The Second Annual Scholarship Class will demonstrate how the Abbie DeLoach Foundation is uniting its supporters to take action and continue their impact for good in Abbie’s honor.   

In addition to direct prayer and care for grieving families, the Abbie DeLoach Foundation will continue to partner with Abbie’s favorite charities to give scholarships and support world-wide missions.
