BankSouth, named one of the top 20 community banks in the nation, is pleased to welcome Brian Hussey as the commercial relationship manager for the Savannah market. In his new position, Hussey is responsible for generating new commercial loans, offering customized and streamlined lending solutions and products to clients, and management of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio.

A Savannah native and graduate of Benedictine Military School, Hussey earned a B.B.A. in business administration at Savannah State University. Prior to joining BankSouth, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for two area companies and was an assistant vice president for many years at First Chatham Bank.

Hussey is very involved in the Savannah community, serving on the Ambassador’s Council for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Assistance Corporation loan committee, and on the board of directors for EmployAbility. In addition, he is treasurer and board member for the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society, a state ambassador for the National Down Syndrome Society, a member of the Hibernian Society of Savannah, and a graduate of Leadership Savannah.
