Bryan County Bark Park Appeals to Community to Voice Their Opinion on Park Amenities

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Monday, April 9th, 2018

Bryan County’s Bark Park is asking residents and users of our community’s free dog park to help the board make important decisions about the park’s amenities.  A survey has been set up to determine priorities for the Bark Park’s maintenance and improvements. Responses from the community will help the Bark Park Board of Directors decide how to best utilize the limited funds available which have been raised through the generous support of the community.

The Bark Park volunteer board wants to maintain and improve this important community facility where dogs can run free, but it is important to the nonprofit organization that funds raised are spent wisely. The board asks that community members complete a simple survey to help make these decisions regarding maintenance and park updates before the deadline of May 20, 2018. One lucky respondent will receive a bag of Bark Park merchandise when a name is drawn after the deadline.

“This park would not exist without our community’s support and the help of Bryan County, so it is vital to our board that we get input from the people who utilize the park,” said Board President Renee Laurie. “We are continuously grateful for the support we receive from our wonderful community and want to ensure that we can continue to provide a well-kept facility where dogs can run free and off leash.”

The survey can be completed online by visiting www.surveymonkey.com/r/WCM6PF9. Printed surveys will also be available for completion at the park.
