Google announced that its Grow With Google tour is coming to Savannah as part of their larger Grow With Google initiative to help create economic opportunities for Americans throughout the country. Google will host the full-day event at Service Brewing Company on April 25 to help small business owners, job seekers and veterans improve their digital skills.

“We are excited to bring the Grow with Google Tour to Savannah, which has such a vibrant and diverse small business community” said Stephen Brokaw, Google’s Community Engagement Manager. “We are also thrilled to partner with the owners of Service Brewing Company, who have demonstrated a strong commitment to assisting returning veterans, for a day of training so other small businesses and job seekers can thrive in the 21st century economy.”

The free event will take place from 9am to 4pm at Service Brewing Company, a veteran-owned local small business, located in historic downtown Savannah. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, led by Google staff, on topics such as online tools for small businesses, email basics and search engine optimization.

Google is partnering with several community organizations including the City of Savannah, College of Business Administration at Savannah State University, Goodwill Southeast Georgia, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Economic Development Authority, Savannah SCORE, Step Up Savannah, The Creative Coast and others.
