Oliver Maner Welcomes Jacob D. Massee as Partner

Oliver Maner, an award-winning law firm providing superior and effective legal services and solutions since 1897, is pleased to announce Jacob D. Massee is joining the firm as a partner in its litigation section. He will concentrate his trial practice in the areas of municipal liability, public entity law, civil rights litigation, general liability defense, employment law, plaintiff’s injury/wrongful death, and business litigation.

Massee began his career at Oliver Maner in 2007, where he served as president of the Savannah Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD), board member of the State Bar of Georgia’s YLD Board of Governors, and chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Appellate Admissions Committee. In 2013, he moved to Denver, Colo., where he was appointed Assistant Attorney General with the Colorado Department of Law. He later worked with Hall & Evans, LLC, a regional litigation firm in Denver, where he defended numerous clients in various civil practice areas.

Massee, who was named a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2011, is admitted to practice before all Georgia and Colorado state courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Tenth and Eleventh Circuits.

A native of Fitzgerald, Ga., Massee earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Georgia, and his Juris Doctor degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.
