Just two days after their epic finale concert, the Savannah Philharmonic is slated to launch its 10th anniversary season with a festive party from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, May 7 at the historic Lucas Theatre for the Arts, 32 Abercorn St. in downtown Savannah.

Supporters, subscribers, sponsors and music enthusiasts from the Savannah community are invited to attend this launch party. Admission is free to Philharmonic supporters, subscribers, community partners and concert sponsors. Advance rsvp’s are required to receive free comp tickets. (not sure how we should word this). General music enthusiasts can purchase tickets to the event for $25.00. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music, free beverages, and hor d’oeuvres.

We would not be able to continue informing, educating, and enriching the community through orchestral and choral performances without the help of our numerous supporters and community partners,” said Savannah Philharmonic Executive Director Terri O’Neil. “Wow, 10 seasons of working to fulfill our mission and to promote and increase community knowledge and appreciation of the arts. Here’s looking forward to the next ten seasons!”

As a special launch party highlight, details will be unveiled regarding an exciting collaboration between the Savannah Philharmonic and the Savannah Music Festival, slated to take place in April 2019. In another thrilling 10th anniversary season announcement, the Philharmonic’s loyal and generous supporters, Bob and Alice Jepson, are serving as honorary chairs for the 10th Anniversary Season Gala, “An Enchanting Evening.” This exclusive event is planned for Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 and is a “must-attend” celebration, so please mark your calendars.

Pricing and applicable discounts for season tickets will also be unveiled at the season launch party. Renewal subscriptions, not including prior flex ticket packages, will be available onsite at the conclusion of the launch party. Renewing subscribers must book their seats between May 7 and June 1. New subscribers for the Philharmonic Experience, Series 8, and the newly created Student Suites are eligible to book tickets beginning on June 4. Multi-concert ticket packages and single tickets for the tenth anniversary season will go on sale to the public June 25.
