Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce that Matthew Frazier, John Paul Moore, and Emily Wortman from the Savannah office are now licensed Professional Engineers in Georgia. Frazier, Wortman, and Moore sat for the 8-hour Civil: Water Resources and Environmental examination consisting of five areas, including construction, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources and environmental.

Matthew Frazier joined Thomas & Hutton in August 2015 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Kentucky in 2012. Prior to joining Thomas & Hutton, he worked as a Project Engineer providing soil and groundwater remediation with AST Environmental, a small environmental remediation firm in Kentucky. Frazier is a Designer IV for planning and engineering design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Environmental Department. Significant projects he has been involved in include President Street Improvements, Bilbo Canal Drainage Improvements, the Elevated Water Storage Tank and Booster Station for Volvo/Camp Hall, Grange Road 42-Inch Water Main Relocation, and Project Gateway Elevated Water Storage Tank. 

John Paul Moore joined Thomas & Hutton in May 2013 following earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Moore is a Designer III in the Civil Department and has extensive experience in stormwater modeling and drainage system design, water and wastewater system design, road design, master planning, and permitting. Moore’s has been intensely involved providing design services to residential and resort development, Palmetto Bluff as well streetscape improvements: Dr. Mellichamp Drive and West Oglethorpe Lane Streetscape Improvements, winner of a 2018 ACEC Georgia Honor Award.

Emily Wortman joined Thomas & Hutton in December 2015 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Humboldt State University in 2012. Prior to working at Thomas & Hutton, Wortman served as a Project Engineer for Murtagh Municipal Engineering, providing drinking and wastewater improvements for municipalities in her home state of Montana. Wortman is a Designer III in the Civil Department and provides stormwater modeling for master plans and individual sites, residential and commercial site development, commercial road site development, erosion control permitting, and permitting for communities in Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry. Wortman has been provided such services for I-16 West Frontage Road, St. Joseph’s Candler – West Chatham Campus, East Argent Loop Road, and Hilton Head National Luxury RV.
