Goodwill Southeast Georgia is pleased to announce its 2018-2019 Board of Directors.  Stuart Clifford, senior vice president and CFO Cititrends, will serve as board chair.  Other officers include Adel Karam, GNC, as vice chair; Chad Wiggins, Sea Island Bank, as treasurer; and David Camden, Sun Trust Bank, as secretary. Ivy D. Council, Cititrends, is immediate past board chair.

Four new directors have been installed.   Dr. Thomas Z. Jones, president emeritus Armstrong Atlantic State University, Jenny Gentry of Ameris Bank,  Catina Tindall, First Coast Benefits Solutions, and Charles ‘Bo’ Bowen, The Bowen Law Group.  

These new directors join returning directors Whip Triplett, North Point Hospitality Group;  Allyson Harvin, SERVPRO of Savannah;  Nancy DeVetter, Georgia Legal Services; Tommy Purvis, retired; and Michael J. Winckler, Goodwill Southeast Georgia, ex-officio.

Dr. Thomas Z. Jones has lived in Savannah for 18 years and served on numerous civic and service related boards including the United Way of the Coastal Empire.  Prior to his retirement as president of Armstrong State University in 2009, he served as vice president for academic affairs at both Columbus State University and West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech).
 
Jenny Gentry, SVP market president at Ameris Bank, is a noted philanthropist who has been recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives for her community involvement.  Ms. Gentry has been a Savannah resident for 37 years and serves on many local boards and committees to further the role of non-profits in the community.
 
Catina Tindall is president of First Coast Benefits Solutions, Inc., Brunswick, GA and has been Chairman for the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Chairman of the United Way of Coastal Georgia.  Ms. Tindall currently serves on the Executive Board of Hospice of the Golden Isles and is the incoming president of the Rotary Club of Brunswick.
 
Charles “Bo” Bowen is the managing partner of The Bowen Law Group.  Upon graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995, he moved to Savannah and established a corporate law practice.  Bowen was named “Business Advocate of the Year” in 2015 by the Savannah Morning News and is also the founder and president of Southern Gateway Production Services that provides support to film productions working in the region.  His notable role in the business community of Savannah makes him an ideal advocate and guide in Goodwill’s mission of developing the local work force and training skill sets to meet local industry demands.
 
Five community and business leaders will also serve on the Board Advisory Committee.  They are Jim Carswell, SpyHop Productions, Diana Morrison, Ad Specialty Services; Vernon Buchman, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management; Paulo Albuquerque, Georgia Power; and Woody Woodside, president of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce.
