Lowcountry Chamber Music Festival Launches in Savannah and Beaufort with Concerts and Community Outreach

This month, Savannah and Beaufort music lovers are in for a treat with the launch of the new Lowcountry Chamber Music Festival which runs to June 30, 2018.  Founded under the umbrella organization of the Beaufort Orchestra, the artists display impressive talent and experience from around the world. 

The Festival is committed to community outreach bringing music to those affected by Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia and special needs.  Partner organizations include The Alzheimer's Association, Boys & Girls Club, Center for Autism, Speech and Hearing Center and the Beaufort County Disabilities & Special Needs.

The chamber music concerts take place at 7 p.m. on Friday evenings in Beaufort and Saturdays in Savannah:

  • Friday June 29th 7 p.m.

  • Saturday June 30th 7 p.m.

    Mickve Israel Temple

Tickets are priced at $40 with a special rate of $25 for military and $15 for students.  Tickets are available in advance through the organization’s website or at the door. 

Community Outreach will take place:

  • Tuesday June 26th - Beaufort County Disabilities and Special Needs.

  • Wednesday June 27th at 10am- Thomas Episcopal and 1pm Skidaway Island United Methodist Church for Alzheimer's Association events for patients and their families.

  • Friday June 29th at 10:30am - Speech and Hearing Center Savannah
