Robert Woodie, left, and Mikayla Haigh, right, Ogeechee Technical College students, were named to the 2018 – 2019 National Technical Honor Society Georgia State Officer Team. Woodie and Haigh currently serve as officers in Ogeechee Tech’s NTHS chapter. They recently attended three days of training at Unicoi State Park and Lodge in Helen, Georgia.

The state officer team went through intensive training and team building sessions to further prepare them for their year in office. The officers were evaluated on their leadership potential, personal characteristics, knowledge, and commitment to our organization, which resulted in the designation of their individual officer positions. The purpose of the National Technical Honor Society is to honor excellence in workforce education and to encourage scholastic excellence, skill development, honesty, service, leadership, citizenship, and individual responsibility, as well as promote business and industry critical workplace values.
