Metro Savannah Rotary Welcomes New President

The Metro Savannah Rotary Club recently inducted its new slate of leadership for the 2018/2019 year and is proud to announce its new Club President, Whitney Shephard.
 
Shephard is the co-founder of Transport Studio, a Savannah-based planning and engineering firm, and has lived in Savannah for eleven years.  An alumnus of Georgia Tech in architecture and civil engineering, Shephard is a LEED Accredited Professional and Professional Engineer managing diverse projects.  With 20 years’ experience, Shephard’s focus is on multi-modal transportation, including transit, transportation and land-use master plans, travel demand, and advanced geographic information systems applications.
 
With her husband, Josh Yates, she also co-owns Savannah’s award-winning, Green Truck Neighborhood Pub, a restaurant featuring local and organic farmers and craft American brewers.  Together, they support a variety of community organizations.
 
A 2014 graduate of Leadership Southeast Georgia, Shephard serves on several boards including the Georgia Planning Association and Society of Women Engineers and is an active volunteer for the Forsyth Farmers’ Market, Savannah-Chatham Food Policy Council, and Healthy Savannah.

Hummel LP).
