Stage Front Supports Local Non-Profit Urban Hope’s 2018 Annual Summer Camp

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Urban Hope celebrated the end of their 2018 Annual Summer Camp Friday, July 27th with a picnic in Daffin Park. Sponsored by Savannah based business Stage Front, the picnic was an opportunity for students to celebrate the summer program with counselors and share their experience with family.

The Urban Hope Annual Summer Camp is crucial to children in the inner city. Many parents who work during the day are in need of a safe place to send their children. Urban Hope provides this environment and helps these children find their true talents, while having fun. The instructors conduct lessons in Math, English, and Science, in order to keep the children learning during their summer break. The majority of the summer camp is spent in activities that involve arts and crafts, music, dance, sewing, photography, and field trips.

“We are honored to work with an organization that is consistently contributing to the education and safety of our community’s youth,” said Vice President of Sales Chase Nelson. “Over the last few months, we have seen firsthand what an asset Urban Hope is to Savannah.”

Stage Front recently announced a yearlong partnership with Urban Hope as part of their own 40th year anniversary celebration. The company sponsored 10 children to attend summer camp and also organized two field trips to other local businesses during the summer session. Many employees also assisted with the summer camp by appearing as guest speakers during informative sessions, participating in various educational demonstrations, and volunteering at the end of year camp celebration.
