Thomas & Hutton hosted an “Office Olympics” event benefiting their annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night team on Thursday, July 26th. Staff and summer interns joined in for an afternoon of fun, comradery, and light-hearted competition to benefit a great cause. Participants were split into four teams and took part in familiar field day-style games that poked fun at the day-to-day activities of an office.

Some of the games included “The Caffeine Rush”, a race that involved handing off cups of coffee to teammates, the winners having the most coffee left in their cup at the end, the “Bored Meeting” had players sitting at a conference table and shooting rubber bands into a coffee mug at the middle of a conference table. The events ended with a crowd favorite, “Is This Parking Lot Bicycle Friendly?”, a relay bicycle race on child-sized bicycles. The bicycles will be donated to the US Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots this holiday season.

The top finishers were awarded hand-crafted gold, silver, or bronze medals hand crafted from office supplies! The event ended with barbeque provided by HOPEULIKEIT BBQ & Market and served by Thomas & Hutton managers and directors. Spectators and participants made donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for this event. Combined with a “Jeans Day” fundraiser the week before, Thomas & Hutton raised $959 for the organization’s annual Light the Night Walk.
