Novice crafters and do-it-yourself enthusiasts alike can create high-end custom home décor and personalized gifts at AR Workshop Savannah, a new boutique DIY shop that offers a unique, fun experience for all ages and skill levels through instructor-led workshops.

Workshop participants can create custom wood plank signs, framed signs, canvas pillows, round signs, trays, Lazy Susans, centerpiece boxes, canvas tote bags, and more utilizing raw materials, a variety of non-toxic stain and paint colors, and stencils.

Owner Heather Nelson is thrilled to introduce the DIY workshop brand to the Savannah community. After reconnecting with friends from college through their own AR Workshop locations, Nelson quickly recognized the tremendous business opportunity through the boutique that is rapidly growing across the nation in the two years since the company was founded. More than 101 franchise locations have joined the brand.

“After my very first visit to the flagship workshop in Pineville, NC, I just knew this workshop concept would fit perfectly in the Savannah community,” Heather Nelson said. “We’re very excited to be providing a fresh entertainment option and artistic outlet to our area which is rich in art and design."

Project designs can be personalized with names, quotes and graphics, as well as the color scheme, to create beautiful one-of-a-kind artworks. The average time to complete a project is two and a half hours. Participants can bring their own snacks and drinks.

A grand opening launch party from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 29 will feature a mini DIY project, sips, sweets, giveaways, raffles and discounts on future bookings. Space is limited. Interested guests can visit the event page to register, and like “AR Workshop Savannah GA”  on Facebook or follow them on Instagram to receive notifications of upcoming specials.
