The SD Gunner Fund recently received a $5,000 donation thanks to dynamic duo Erica Deeb and her dog, Pigeon. After the pair won the July 2018 Big Dog Best Friends online photo contest sponsored by Big Dog Mowers, they chose the SD Gunner Fund as the beneficiary of the $5,000 donation.  

As a local carrier of Big Dog Mowers, lawncare retailer Get Mowed of Richmond Hill presented the SD Gunner Fund with the $5,000 donation along with a brand-new Big Dog Alpha Mower. The nonprofit organization plans to use this generous donation to support their mission of providing service dogs to veterans and children with special needs.

“We are so excited and honored to be chosen as the beneficiary of this incredibly generous donation,” said SD Gunner Fund Founder and President Britnee Kinnard. “Service dogs are life changing but they can sometimes place a financial burden on those who need them. It’s donations like this one that help us continue to do the work that we love and help worthy people in our community.”
