Effingham Day at the Capitol will be January 28^th, 2019. Citizens of Effingham will gather in Atlanta to advocate for our community. Everything begins with breakfast in the Floyd Room in the Sloppy Floyd Building on the morning of the 28^th as we are inviting all of the state legislature to join us. After breakfast we will then procced to the Capitol to observe the legislature in session. Afterwards we will hear from the Governor, Lieutenant Governor along with several agency leaders over lunch back at the Floyd Room. That afternoon we have a meeting scheduled with the Department of Transportation at their office to learn more about projects happening in our area. In the evening there will be a reception for Effingham County attendees and special guests at the Ritz Carlton.

Tickets to the 2019 Effingham Day at the Capitol are $135 and can be purchased at www.EffinghamCounty.com.

Rooms have been reserved at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta under the name Effingham Day.  For reservations, contact the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta directly at 404-659-0400 or toll free at 800-241-3333.  Please reference Effingham Day to receive the room rate of $169 per night (single or double occupancy).  Rates outside the block will be substantially higher.  Rooms must be booked by December 26^th, 2018, to be eligible for the discounted rate.

There is also a bus being organized to take those who would rather not stay overnight. The bus will leave Springfield at 5:00 AM on the morning of the 28^th and return that evening. You can reserve your seat on the bus at www.effinghamcounty.com or by calling the Chamber Office at (912)754-3301. The bus requires a minimum of 38 riders to make the trip. Deadline for to reserve a seat is December 26^th, 2018.
